The short version
The Muster is a static website. It sets no cookies unless you consent, runs no advertising trackers, and has no user accounts. The only personal data we ever hold is what you type into the submission form. Some outbound links earn us a commission, and they are labelled.
Cookies and analytics
The site uses Google Analytics to count visits, loaded with Google’s Consent Mode set to deny by default: no analytics cookies are set and no identifier is stored on your device unless you allow them through the banner shown on your first visit. Declining changes nothing about how the site works. Your choice is remembered on this device only and can be changed here at any time:
If the reserved advertising slots are ever switched on, this page will say so first, and any consent the law requires will be asked for properly.
When you follow an outbound link — to an organiser, a tourism board, or a booking site — that site’s own privacy policy applies from the moment you arrive. Booking sites in particular will typically set their own cookies.
Partner links and affiliate disclosure
Links labelled PARTNER are affiliate links. If you book or buy through one — accommodation through Booking.com, for example — The Muster may earn a small commission. It costs you nothing extra, and it is how the site pays for itself.
The commission never affects which events we list, how they are ranked, or what we say about them. Events are listed because they are real and verifiable, not because anything is for sale nearby. Pages carrying partner links repeat this disclosure at the point of use.
The submission form
When you submit an event we receive what you typed, delivered tothemusterevents@gmail.com via our hosting provider (Netlify, whose ownprivacy policycovers the handling in transit). Your email address is used only to ask questions about that submission. It is never published, never added to a mailing list, and never shared. Ask at any time and we will delete it.
Artwork
Banner and hero artwork is illustrative and does not depict the events shown. Where a page shows a photograph instead, the photographer is credited on the image.
