Last held 18–20 September 2026
🇩🇪 Heichelheim, Germany
Dates not yet confirmed

The last edition has finished and the organiser has not yet published dates for the next one. Going by previous years, expect it around mid September 2027 — but that is our projection, not an announcement, and nothing is settled until the organiser publishes the dates. Check with the organiser before you travel: am-ettersberg.de.

About

A small annual Viking living-history festival held at the Bürgerhaus Akazienhof grounds in Heichelheim (Amt Am Ettersberg, near Weimar, Thuringia), featuring a Viking camp, mock combat shows, a craft market, music and a 'Wiki-Olympics' of axe- and spear-throwing, archery and tug-of-war.

Programme

The programme for the next edition hasn’t been published yet. It goes up here as soon as the organiser releases it.

Getting there

Held at the Bürgerhaus Akazienhof, Heichelheimer Hauptstraße 34, 99439 Am Ettersberg, Thuringia (Heichelheim). Confirmed via the Am Ettersberg municipal events calendar and independent Viking-market listings, though the organiser has not published opening hours or an admission price for the 2026 edition -- check nearer the date.
