A folk commemoration held every year on the first Sunday of August at Catoira, Pontevedra, re-enacting the Viking and Norman raids that once sailed up the Ulla river to threaten the treasury of the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela — a costumed longship landing, mock battle on the riverbank, and a market, running since 1961 and declared a Fiesta of International Tourist Interest in 2002.
