EXPECTED MID SEPTEMBER 2027DATES NOT YET CONFIRMED
Last held 19–20 September 2026
🇬🇧 Sheringham, United Kingdom
Dates not yet confirmed

The last edition has finished and the organiser has not yet published dates for the next one. Going by previous years, expect it around mid September 2027 — but that is our projection, not an announcement, and nothing is settled until the organiser publishes the dates. Check with the organiser before you travel: nnrailway.co.uk.

About

The North Norfolk Railway's 'Steam Back to the Forties' event transforms Sheringham, Weybourne and Holt stations into a 1940s scene with steam trains, reenactors and period entertainment, coinciding with the town's wider Sheringham 1940s Weekend programme.

Programme

The programme for the next edition hasn’t been published yet. It goes up here as soon as the organiser releases it.

Getting there

Day Rover tickets cover unlimited travel between Sheringham, Weybourne and Holt: adult day rovers cost GBP35 on the Saturday and GBP30 on the Sunday, child (3-15) GBP18/GBP17.50, a family of 4 GBP77.50/GBP72.50 and a family of 5 GBP85/GBP80; a two-day adult rover is GBP60 (child GBP30). Saturday day rovers are running close to sold out, so early booking matters more than usual. Walk-in entry to the Holt Exhibition Field alone (no train travel) costs GBP15 Saturday/GBP10 Sunday for adults and GBP5 for children both days. Usual station parking at Holt and Weybourne is closed for the event; temporary car parks are signposted off the A148, and Greater Anglia trains and Sanders Coaches buses also serve the line.
