About

The Sealed Knot's Prince Rupert's Bluecoats garrison Windsor Castle's Moat Garden for a living-history weekend marking the castle's role in the English Civil War, when Charles I was imprisoned there before his execution. Included with standard castle admission; talks and static camp displays run alongside the Royal Collection Trust's regular opening hours.

Getting there

Windsor Castle is in the town centre. Both Windsor & Eton Central (Great Western Railway, about 35 minutes from London Paddington via Slough) and Windsor & Eton Riverside (South Western Railway, about 55 minutes direct from London Waterloo) stations are a few minutes' walk from the castle. The Sealed Knot display is included with standard castle admission — no separate ticket. Advance adult admission GBP32 (GBP36 on the day); young person 18-24 GBP21 (GBP24); child 5-17 GBP16 (GBP18); under-5s free. Castle is open to visitors year-round; check rct.uk for the day's exact opening hours before travelling.
