A free heritage day at a former Wealden ironworks that once cast cannon, combining guided furnace-site tours and falconry with Sealed Knot living-history and drill demonstrations, 11am-5pm both days.

Getting there

Fernhurst Furnace is reached via a public footpath (Sussex Footpath 1264), about a mile west of Fernhurst village, crossing a dam at the head of Furnace Pond — there is no direct vehicle access to the site itself. Free on-site/roadside parking; free admission, with voluntary donations welcomed. No rail station serves the site directly.
