About
A one-day Roman-heritage festival in the village of Elst (Overbetuwe), part of the province-wide 'Romeinen in Gelderland' heritage programme run jointly by Provincie Gelderland, Erfgoed Gelderland, the Groene Metropool Regio Arnhem Nijmegen and Gemeente Nijmegen. Roman soldiers, craftspeople and living-history demonstrations fill the village centre around Dorpsstraat and Europaplein.

Getting there
Free to attend. The festival runs on Saturday 17 October from 11:00 to 16:00 in the centre of Elst, with the venues - the town hall square, Galamapark, the Temple-Church Museum, the library and Dorpsstraat - all within walking distance of each other. Elst has its own railway station, about a 5-minute walk from the festival, with trains from Arnhem, Nijmegen, Zutphen and Tiel. Parking is free at the Land van Tap car park and in the garage at Elst station; in the village centre the blue zone applies, with a parking disc for up to 2 hours daily from 09:00 to 18:00. The organiser publishes no shuttle information.
