About
A staged mounted jousting tournament held in the arena of the 12th-century Renaissance castle Schloss Rosenburg in the Waldviertel region of Lower Austria. The 2026 production, themed 'Excalibur — A Legend Awakens', combines professional historical reenactors performing tournament combat and horsemanship with a medieval-themed marketplace, falconry-style entertainment and a squire school for children.

Getting there
Nearest station: Rosenburg (Kamptalbahn line, from Hadersdorf am Kamp / St. Pölten / Krems), then a signposted forest footpath to the castle, about 20 minutes on foot. By car: about 1 hour from Vienna via the A22 and B4, or roughly 20 minutes from Krems via the B34; free parking for cars and coaches directly in front of the castle. No shuttle bus service found. Tournament-day entry (organiser's own prices): EUR19 adult, EUR12 child (6-15), EUR50 family (2 adults + up to 3 children), EUR75 VIP adult / EUR45 VIP child. Event hours 09:00-17:00.
