About
Annual Oviedo festival commemorating the city's 1836 defence against Carlist forces during the First Carlist War, combining a well-known gastronomic tradition (the 'menú del Desarme') with a costumed military re-enactment and parade — troops in 1836-period uniform march from the Campo San Francisco and stage the 'Batallas del Desarme', alongside historical camp displays and a ceremonial military salute.
