
Overloon Eyewitness Event
About
A two-day living-history weekend at the War Museum Overloon with 500+ reenactors portraying American, British, Canadian, German and Dutch units, including staged mock battles with blank ammunition, pyrotechnics and armoured vehicles, multi-nation encampments with trenches and fortifications, and a militaria market. It commemorates the October 1944 Battle of Overloon, one of the largest tank battles fought on Dutch soil.

War Museum Overloon, Museumpark 1, 5825 AM Overloon - 3km west of the A73 motorway (Nijmegen-Venlo), exit 7 Vierlingsbeek/Overloon; free parking is signposted about 800m from the grounds, a 15-20 minute walk, with a shuttle for visitors with disabilities. No weekend bus service reaches the museum (the weekday-only line 82 from Boxmeer does not run Sat/Sun); the nearest station is Vierlingsbeek, where an OV-fiets rental bike is the only public-transport option at weekends, so most visitors drive. Saturday 09:00-18:00, Sunday 09:00-17:00, museum admission included. Online tickets EUR29.50 adults / EUR19.50 children (4-12); EUR32.50/EUR19.50 on the door (EUR1 door service charge). All tickets include a reserved grandstand seat for the mock battle in the arena; Museumkaart and other discount passes are not valid during the event.
