About

The 81st anniversary of the Battle of the Bulge, marked in the town McAuliffe refused to surrender. Bastogne fills with Sherman tanks, jeeps and period trucks, living-history camps at Bastogne Barracks, and thousands of walkers retracing the defensive perimeter through the Bois Jacques where Easy Company held the frozen line.

Getting there

Bastogne War Museum, Colline du Mardasson 5. By car via the E25; by rail to Libramont then direct bus. Museums open 9h30-19h. Book accommodation months ahead - Bastogne, Houffalize and Libramont fill from early in the year.
