Karlštejn Grape Harvest Festival (28th)
Known locally as XXVIII. Karlštejnské vinobraní (Karlštejn Grape Harvest Festival)
About
Staged in the grounds beneath Karlštejn Castle, this grape-harvest festival re-creates the court of Emperor Charles IV, who founded the castle in 1348. Knight jousting, court dancers, pipers and trumpeters accompany the emperor and Empress Elisabeth of Pomerania and around 150 courtiers through a weekend of medieval pageantry timed to the autumn harvest.
