About
Annual costumed reenactment of the assassination of Julius Caesar, staged by the Gruppo Storico Romano every 15 March at Largo di Torre Argentina (the site of the ancient Curia of Pompey), under the supervision of the University of Rome Tor Vergata's Department of Historical Sciences and Rome's Soprintendenza. Around 100 reenactors perform a Senate meeting, the stabbing itself, and a funeral procession to the Temple of the Divine Julius near the Colosseum, closing with funeral orations by Brutus and Mark Antony.
