Grodziec Knights' Tournament for Duke Przemko's Treasure
Known locally as Turniej Rycerski o Skarb Księcia Przemka I Cieszyńskiego
The last edition has finished and the organiser has not yet published dates for the next one. Going by previous years, expect it around early September 2027 — but that is our projection, not an announcement, and nothing is settled until the organiser publishes the dates. Check with the organiser before you travel: e-szczyrk.pl.
About
A medieval knights' tournament held at the castle ruins in Grodziec (Jasienica municipality, Cieszyn Silesia), named for the 14th-century Duke Przemko I of Cieszyn. The 5th edition is scheduled for September 4-6, 2026, and features historical reenactment groups staging jousts and combat alongside a medieval market and period music.
Programme
The programme for the next edition hasn’t been published yet. It goes up here as soon as the organiser releases it.
Getting there
Grodziec Castle sits beside the A4 motorway between Bolesławiec and Złotoryja, about 50km from Jelenia Góra; the organiser's own site lists free parking at the base of the castle. Standard (non-festival) admission is PLN35 full-price/PLN30 reduced; the tournament weekend's own gate price was not separately published by the organiser as of this run, so treat the standard price as indicative only.
