About
An annual Renaissance-themed civic pageant in the Hainaut town of Lessines, commemorating the town's successful 1578 defence against attackers during the Eighty Years' War, an episode local tradition credits to guard captain Sébastien de Tramasure. The 2026 edition is the 448th, with over 600 costumed participants, a Renaissance mass, a period craft market, concerts and a grand historical procession through the town centre.

Getting there
Lessines station is about 400m from the historic centre where the festivities take place, with hourly trains towards Ath, Mons and Geraardsbergen. Saturday runs roughly 10:00-20:00 (craft and artisan fair, Less'Art exhibition at Saint-Pierre church, guided historical tours, evening concert) and Sunday 10:00-19:00, closing with the 15:00 grand historical procession. Most of the weekend is free to attend; the only bookable extra is the Saturday-evening roasted-pork dinner, which requires advance reservation. No dedicated parking or shuttle information was found published by the organiser this run.
