Carolinas Revolutionary War Weekend (Battle of Camden Reenactment)

The largest force-on-force Revolutionary War reenactment in the United States, and a Kershaw County tradition of more than half a century. Hundreds of living historians portray Crown and Patriot soldiers, along with the distaff, eighteenth-century craftsmen and merchants selling reproduction wares, with mock battles featuring cavalry, cannon and musketry on both days. Revenue from the weekend funds the organiser's year-round Liberty Live schools programme, which runs a free education day for up to 2,500 students on the Friday beforehand.

The weekend is held at The Meeting Place, 1208 Keys Lane, Kershaw, SC 29067, not at Historic Camden's town site. From I-20 Exit 98 (Camden), take US-521/601 north for 7.8 miles, turn right onto Lockhart Road for 8.5 miles, then continue 1.8 miles to the entrance on the left; event signs are posted along the route. The public is welcome from 10:00 on Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 November, and the site closes to the public at 17:00 on Saturday and 15:00 on Sunday. Friday 13 November is a school education day, with gates at 09:00 and an end at 13:00. Tickets are sold online through TicketLeap; parking, shuttle and public-transport arrangements are not published by the organiser.
