Battle for the Airfield

The American Heritage Museum, built around the Jacques Littlefield tank and vehicle collection in Hudson, Massachusetts, stages a two-day WW2 battle reenactment each October billed as one of the premier events of its type in the country. Over 350 Allied and Axis reenactors fight two staged battles a day across the museum's grounds, with visitor access to the museum's armour and aircraft collection included.

The American Heritage Museum is at 568 Main Street, Hudson, MA 01749; the organiser's own site specifically warns the site is NOT reachable via Barton Road despite what some map apps suggest. Free on-site parking, with overflow grass-area parking used at peak times. This is a separately ticketed reenactment weekend rather than standard museum admission: single-day tickets are USD40 adult / USD35 senior (62+) / USD30 veteran-military-first responder / USD25 student (16 and under), with veterans 85+ and under-3s free; a two-day weekend pass is USD70 / USD60 / USD50 / USD40 in the same tiers, with a 25% discount for museum members. Optional paid tank rides (10-minute M24 Chaffee or M4 Sherman rides, USD595 per group) are sold separately.
