The largest Viking festival in western Norway, held each June at the reconstructed Viking farm at Avaldsnes on Karmøy — Norway's oldest royal seat and the residence of Harald Fairhair. Around 150-200 re-enactors from Norway and across Europe camp among the reconstructed Viking Age buildings for a market, weapons demonstrations, storytelling, music, archery, horseback riding and theatre.
