NATO Days in Ostrava & Czech Air Force Days

Held every September at Leoš Janáček Airport in Ostrava since 2003, NATO Days in Ostrava & Czech Air Force Days bills itself as Europe's largest public security and defence show. Air arms, ground forces, police and rescue services from the Czech Republic and allied nations bring live flying displays, static aircraft and vehicles, and hands-on demonstrations across the airfield. Admission has stayed free throughout the event's history even as its costs have grown, funded instead through sponsorship and paid VIP areas.

Venue is Leoš Janáček Ostrava Airport (Mošnov), east of the city centre. Free to attend — no ticket required. Czech Railways runs extra services to Studénka for the weekend, with connecting shuttle buses on to the airport terminal; regional shuttle buses also run from Albrechtičky and Petřvaldík. Car parking on site costs CZK400 (car), CZK250 (motorcycle) or CZK1,200 (coach). The venue sits directly on an international cycling route with supervised bicycle parking, and several nearby villages, including a scenic approach from Studénka through the Poodří protected area, offer a walkable route in. Gate-opening times for 2026 had not been published on the organiser's site as of this run.
