NAS Oceana Air Show

Held since 1953 at the US Navy's East Coast master jet base at Virginia Beach, the NAS Oceana Air Show is the largest air show on the American east coast and typically draws between a quarter and three hundred thousand visitors. The programme pairs Navy fighter demonstrations flown by aircraft based at the field with civilian aerobatic acts and warbirds from the nearby Military Aviation Museum. Admission and parking are free, and a practice day for local schoolchildren is normally held on the Friday before the public weekend.
