Misawa Air Base Air Festival

Misawa in Aomori prefecture is the only air base in Japan shared by the Japan Air Self-Defense Force, the United States Air Force and the United States Navy, and its air festival reflects that: Japanese F-35A and American F-16 units fly from the same ramp, and the ground displays mix both air forces' aircraft. The joint character makes it one of the more internationally interesting Japanese open days for a visiting enthusiast.
