Frecce Tricolori — Salerno Air Show
The last edition has finished and the organiser has not yet published dates for the next one. Going by previous years, expect it around late September 2027 — but that is our projection, not an announcement, and nothing is settled until the organiser publishes the dates. Check with the organiser before you travel: salernonotizie.it.
About
The closing Italian date of the Frecce Tricolori's 2026 display season, flown over the Gulf of Salerno and watched from the city's long seafront promenade. The Pattuglia Acrobatica Nazionale flies a roughly half-hour programme of some twenty formation and solo figures in ten MB-339 aircraft. Displays of this kind on the Italian coast are free to attend and typically draw tens of thousands to the shoreline.
Programme
The programme for the next edition hasn’t been published yet. It goes up here as soon as the organiser releases it.
Getting there
Free to attend along the Lungomare di Pastena seafront promenade in Salerno. The Frecce Tricolori fly 15:30-17:30 on Sunday 27 September, the closing set-piece of the three-day '22° Raduno Nazionale Aviatori d'Italia' (25-27 September), which also includes a Friday medal ceremony and gala evening, a Saturday rehearsal pass and military-band concert, and a Sunday-morning parade from Piazza Dante Alighieri to Piazza della Libertà. Salerno's own railway station is on the Naples-Reggio Calabria main line; no parking, road-closure or shuttle information has been published by the organiser.
