About
The annual open day at JASDF Chitose Air Base in Hokkaido, which shares its runways with New Chitose Airport and hosts two squadrons of F-15 interceptors as well as the government's VIP transport fleet. The programme centres on F-15 tactical flying and static displays of the base's aircraft, and the 2026 edition carries a display by the Blue Impulse aerobatic team. Entry to JASDF air festivals is free.

Getting there
Entry is free, as with all JASDF air festivals. The base is adjacent to New Chitose Airport, reachable by JR to Minami-Chitose or New Chitose Airport Station; neither the base nor the Chitose Tourism Association has published shuttle-bus or parking arrangements for 2026 as of this run.
