Air Show del Garda
About
An annual lakeside display flown over the water in front of Desenzano del Garda, on the southern shore of Lake Garda. The programme opens at 10:30 with search-and-rescue helicopter work, historic types and civilian aerobatic solos, and closes around noon with the Frecce Tricolori, whose ten MB-339 aircraft draw the Italian tricolour over the lake. Friday is a full dress rehearsal flown to the same programme but without coloured smoke, and is a markedly less crowded way to see the show. Desenzano has hosted the Pattuglia Acrobatica Nazionale since 2019.

Getting there
The show flies over the lakefront at Desenzano del Garda; free public viewing runs along the Lungolago Cesare Battisti waterfront, with three additional accessible viewing points for visitors with disabilities (Lungolago Cesare Battisti, the Lega Navale club, and the Istituto dei Rogazionisti, the latter two needing advance phone or email booking). Friday 4 September is a full-dress rehearsal and Saturday 5 September the official display, both roughly 10:15-12:30, and the show is free to attend. The town runs two event car parks with shuttle buses to the centre — San Martino (paid shuttle) and 'Perla' (free shuttle) — and closes the central streets (Via Marconi, Viale Agello) to non-emergency traffic during show hours, while the bypass toward Lonato/Brescia and toward Peschiera stays open.
