Air Festa Hamamatsu 2026

Hamamatsu in Shizuoka prefecture is the JASDF's principal training base and the site of the Air Park public relations centre, a free aviation museum holding preserved aircraft and a flight simulator that opens year-round. The air festival adds a full flying programme built around trainer aircraft and airborne early warning types, with a Blue Impulse display in 2026, and is one of the most accessible Japanese air festivals for visitors travelling on the Tokaido Shinkansen.

Hamamatsu Air Base

Nearest station is JR Hamamatsu; the base runs a direct bus from the station with temporary stops inside the base. There is no on-base parking. Off-base parking is by advance lottery application (applications open in early October), and the walk from the off-base lots takes roughly 9 to 33 minutes depending on the lot. Walkers and cyclists use the North Gate (cyclists only at the Kotomichi Gate), taxis use the South (Main) Gate. Entry opens at 08:00 and the event runs 09:00-15:00. Roadside parking and drop-offs near the gates are prohibited.
